Apple in 2011 & 2012- A Leading End And A Dominant Start
The year of 2011 ended with all up’s and down’s. It took a leave leaving bitter sweet memories associated with it. Many records were broken and new were set in every field. Some were dominant in the start but were nowhere by the end of the year and vice versa. Some finished the year on victory and started the new one on the same hope.
Apple also went under many crust and trough in 2011. The unbearable loss of Steve Jobs was one of the most shocking losses of the year not only for Apple but for the whole I.T Sector, but the show & time continued to move as it never stops for anyone, Tim Cook took over Apple and started his journey to play his role in success of Apple.
Despite that unforgettable loss, Apple said good bye to 2011 on a high node with 52.1% share of web browsing market with his IOS. As they planned and were expecting, undoubtedly 2012 also got dominant start with being the most favourite OS for more than half of the mobile and Tech lovers.
As per Net Market Share, Apple lead the first position with 52.1% with Java ME securing the second position with 21.27& and Android standing third with 16.26% of the market share.
Even though the share % of Apple and Android has decreased as compared to their market shares of OCT 2011, Apple’s total market share was 61.5% whereas Android was the stake holder of 18.86% share.
Also, it has also been stated that total web traffic by Apple’s Smartphone users was bit higher than those of tablet computers. Further division of statistics showed that 25.24% traffic from Apple’s overall traffic was of iPhone and the remaining 24.53% was from iPad.
Apple has surely shown some sign of resistance at his place and has made an alarming signal for their competitors that 2012 will also not going to be an easy one. Apple will surely have more plans in their bag for 2012 to carry on their momentum. It’s now time who’s going to reveal the things as it will pass.
